O ISEG é uma escola de vanguarda, fundado em 1911, foi a primeira escola de economia e gestão em Portugal.
Atualmente integra a maior universidade do país – a Universidade de Lisboa, com um programa de ensino de alto padrão, reconhecido por entidades e rankings internacionais ligados à educação, tais como o Financial Times, AACSB ou AMBA.

ISEG contributes to the expansion of the frontiers of scientific knowledge in the fields of economics, finance and management and their respective support areas in teaching, research, service and the international scientific and cultural exchange of students, teachers and researchers, thus enhancing socio-economic development of Portugal and its international credibility. It adopts a pluralistic approach to teaching and research, encouraging the development of synergies between scientific areas, nurturing a spirit of leadership, innovation and entrepreneurship, and developing joint activities with other national and international universities and research centres, in accordance with ethical and social responsibility.
ISEG is also committed to promoting and disseminating an internal and external assessment culture that guarantees organizational improvement and individual and departmental performance.
